How is A1 and A2 milk different?
Although both A1 and A2 milk are cow's milk, there is a slight difference in one key protein. This difference is what differentiates the two.

Beta-casein protein: 
Beta-casein is a type of casein protein found in milk. There are two types of beta-casein, A1 and A2.
Amino acid difference: 
The amino acid at position 67 in both A1 and A2 beta-casein is what differentiates them. A1 contains the amino acid histidine, while A2 contains the amino acid proline.
Digestion: 
A substance called BCM-7 is formed during the digestion of A1 milk. Some studies suggest that this BCM-7 may be harmful to the body. However, BCM-7 is not formed during the digestion of A2 milk.

Why is A2 milk popular?
Health: 
According to some studies, A2 milk is easier to digest and reduces the risk of certain diseases.
Native Cows: 
Native cows in India mostly produce A2 milk. Due to this, the interest in native cows and traditional diets has increased and the demand for A2 milk has also increased.
